Study Foundation in DIFC’s new centre opening in Cork, Ireland’s second largest city, this October 2017.

DIFC is offering a UCC DIFC Foundation Pathway Programme, for students who want to progress to study Science, Engineering or Health Science related degrees at University College Cork and DIFC’s global university partner network.

The centre also provides a specialised Medicine pathway for international students to study Medicine at leading Medical Universities in mainland Europe.

COURSES OFFERED AT DIFC CORK

For the October 2017 intake, DIFC Cork will be offering the following courses:

Science for progression to Science & Engineering degrees

Health Science for progression to study Medicine & Pharmacy at one of DIFC’s mainland Europe Medical partners

STUDY AT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CORK

Following completion of your Foundation studies, you can progress to study at UCC and our other university partners.

Science-related degrees include Pharmacy, Food Science, Speech Therapies, Engineering, Genetics, Computer Science and much more.

SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

DIFC is offering a unique scholarship for Science/Engineering & Health Science students who choose our Cork centre for their Foundation studies.

Science: €2,000 scholarship  for IFY Science or Engineering students

Health Science: €2,200 scholarship for IFY Health Science students looking to progress to DIFC’s mainland Europe Medical partners only.

UNIVERSITY PARTNERS IN CORK

In addition to University College Cork, students will also be able to progress to undergraduate courses at DIFC’s newest Cork-based university partners – Cork IT and Griffith College Cork – along with DIFC’s broader network of university partners in Ireland and the UK.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR FOUNDATION

To be eligible to apply for IFY in DIFC Cork, the following entry requirements apply

Student’s must be at least 17 years of age by 11th September 2017

Completion of a High School Certificate with good grades (minimum academic entry requirements apply)

Overall IELTS score of at least 5.0*

*Selected UCC degrees require min. 5.5 IELTS on entry to IFY

 

HOW TO APPLY

Applications are now being accepted for the first intake of students in September 2017. Places will be limited, therefore students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
