After successfully running university foundation programmes in Dublin over the last 18 years, DIFC have opened our second campus in Cork – Ireland’s second largest city.

DIFC has been a recognised NCUK Delivery Partner since 2004 and has placed over 1,000 students onto graduate and postgraduate courses at partner universities and colleges in Ireland and the UK.

DIFC Cork opened on 2nd September 2017 and is based on Griffith College Cork Campus, delivering International Foundation Year qualifications including Engineering and Technology, Science, Health and Science to international students. We will also be offering our Pre-Masters Preparation qualification in Cork from January 2018, for students looking to progress to postgraduate degrees in Ireland and the UK.

“The opening of our new DIFC-NCUK centre in Cork represents the next phase in the development of DIFC-NCUK qualifications in Ireland. Within the next 2-3 years, we will have 3 centres in Ireland based in Dublin, Cork and Galway with around 400 students studying on the DIFC-NCUK foundation courses.”

Diarmuid Moroney, President & CEO, DIFC

“I am thrilled to lead this new centre as it embeds itself into the educational life of Cork, a UNESCO Learning City and a recognised international centre of culture, research and business. I know that just as DIFC will find an excellent second home in Cork, so DIFC will be instrumental in expanding Cork’s appeal to talented, ambitious international students. I look forward to working with the excellent team we have assembled in Cork to build a successful centre, but also to collaborating with our Dublin colleagues with a view to enhancing and adding value to the offerings of both centres.”

Dr Marian Hurley, Cork Programme Manager, DIFC

“We are delighted to see the continued growth and expansion of DIFC, attracting high quality students from around the globe and congratulate DIFC on the launch of their second pathway centre in Ireland.”

Maria McKenna, NCUK Regional Director

The launch event was attended by NCUK, past and present DIFC students and representatives of DIFC’s Irish university partners including University College Cork, Cork Institute of Technology, Limerick Institute of Technology and Cork English College.
