DIFC Students’ win top NCUK Awards
Two former DIFC students have received top awards at the 2016 NCUK Awards Ceremony today.
Malaysian student, Angelina Long Chia Ling studied the International Foundation Year – Business programme in 2015-16 and is now studying Law at the prestigious University of Leeds. She was recognised for Outstanding Academic Achievement in her IFY Business studies with DIFC.
Our second student recognised for their academic excellence was International Foundation Year – Engineering student, Haren Subramaniam from Malaysia who is now studying Chemical Engineering at the top-ranked University of Manchester.
Speaking after the ceremony, Haren said “I feel very proud to be a winner and very happy to have taken the NCUK IFY route… A lot of my friends took A Levels and they weren’t exposed to writing lab reports but I, on the other hand, was. So we had our first lab experiencement a few weeks ago and we had to write a report on it and I got the highest because of the knowledge I gained through DIFC, and I’m very thankful for that.”
Our Class of 2016 has been one of our most successful for University placements and it is these results that speak to the success of students choosing the Foundation pathway with DIFC.
