DIFC’s PRE-FOUNDATION ENGLISH / IELTS COURSE

The Pre – Foundation English Course is to prepare students to join the main foundation Courses.

To Assist in increasing the student’s IELTS Score ti the level it needs to be at to go onto the foundation year.

Who Needs the pre foundation English Course?

It is specifically designed for international students who:

    • Have an IELTS SCORE OF 4.O – 4.5 and need to improve their English Language Level before studying in Foundation and University.

Course Overview

The Pre -Foundation English course offered BY difc is either a 3 month course or a 6 month course designed to prepare and assist international students in improving their English Language level.

Additionally, the student will have an introduction to Maths and Learning Skills.

Entry Requirements

  • 6 Month Course – 4.0 IELTS will be required.
  • 3 Months Course – 4.5 IELTS will be required
  • On completion of the course, students will be at an 5.00 IELTS Level.
  • An IELTS Test will be conducted.
  • The 5.0 IELTS will be sufficient to join the IFY Programmes.

Teaching & Facilities

The IFY Health Science programme consists of interactive classroom learning, small tutorial groups and practical laboratory sessions. Our laboratories are conducted in university laboratories with one of our partner universities in Dublin.

On campus, there is a full student library, private study areas and computer labs all available to students.

Our teaching staff are highly qualified and are experts in their field.
