Role: Academic Operations Director

  1. Planning Management & Control of Colleges (3)
  • Planning: resources – management, staff, facilities
  • Management: management team, meetings, reports + control
  • Budget KPI – customer satisfaction % exam success % placement %
  1. Facilities Planning + Management
  • Plan for sales numbers by course etc.
  • Maximise space utilisation % + cost per student
  1. Management and Staff Planning
  • Set up organisations structure & management team
  • Plan for sales numbers – optimum class sizes (15)
  • Teachers capacity utilisation 90% – cost per class
  1. External Relationships
  • NCUK – GCD – Irish HEI – Partner Universities Ireland & UK – QQI – INIS – MEI – English Schools
  1. Financial Planning + Management
  • Budget cost % in line with company profitability
  • Cost control monthly accounts A / B – action
  1. Student Services – Line Manager
  • Manager responsible for Dublin / Cork / Galway
  1. Placement – Dublin / Cork / Galway – Line Manager
  • Placement 90% each year
  1. Operations Management
  • HR Management
  • IT Management
  • Resources and facilities management
  1. Business Development and Growth of Business
  • Work closely with Commercial Director regarding new products and link ups Ireland + overseas
  1. Member of Senior Management Team
  • Re strategy and planning 3 – 5 years
  • Co profitability and value of business
  • Member of Board of Directors

Role Requirements/Experience

  • Masters – MBA
  • Experience in management – 5 years
    • Academic Management
    • General Management
  • Proven track record in management
  • People skills
  • Ambition to grow the business
  • HR experience – managing staff
  • Able to work with external organisations at high level
  • Financial planning and management experience

 

Key Information

  • Reporting to – CEO of DIFC
  • Starting Date – June 2019
  • Salary Package – Attractive salary package will be offered reflecting the seniority of the position
