Student Awards

DIFC NCUK STUDENT AWARDS 28th August 2009

On Friday 28th August 2009 DIFC and NCUK held its annual Students Awards Ceremony.

Three IFY and PMP students who achieved excellence in their studies were presented with a DIFC Award of €1,000 to assist them with their continuing studies. The awards were presented by Diarmuid Moroney, Chairman and CEO of DIFC and Dr. Terry Jeeves, Deputy Chief Executive and Academic Director of NCUK.

NCUK also presented the 8 DIFC students with book tokens valued at €200/£200 – these awards were presented to those who came first in their IFY course subjects, presented the best PMP dissertation and had the highest grade in EAP.

  • Tianlei Mou
    PMP Graduate, Tianlei Mou from China received the Best Dissertation Award and a DIFC Award from Diarmuid Moroney, DIFC. He is now studying for an M.Sc. in Software Engineering at Dublin City University (DCU)
  • Xiaoli Huang
    IFY Health & Science Graduate Xiaoli Huang from China is presented with DIFC Award by Diarmuid Moroney, DIFC, and is now studying Physiotherapy at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI).
  • Anton Forbes
    IFY Business Graduate Anton Forbes from Lithuania receives his Best Overall Student Award from Dr. Terry Jeeves, NCUK, as well as a DIFC Award, and is now studying International Development at the University of Leeds, UK.

DIFC A1 Student Award

DIFC gives every year a €1,000 scholarship to the best students of the year both in IFY and Graduate Diploma. These are just two of the recipients.

  • A1 Student Award ShengChan
    ShengChuan Xu PMP 2008 Graduate receives the A1 Student Award from Diarmuid Moroney, Chairman And CEO of DIFC

    ShengChuan Xu Graduated in 2009 from University College Dublin (UCD) with a Masters of Business Studies
  • A1 Student Award Ahmed
    Ahmed Abdullah IFY 2008 Graduate receives the A1 Student Award from Diarmuid Moroney, Chairman And CEO of DIFC

    Ahmed is now studying at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI)
