DIFC offer a range of English programs to suit the needs of students with different levels of English. The information below will provide you with three English course options which should meet the needs of your requirements.
1. IELTS Preparation
IELTS is a test that must be successfully completed in order to be gain entry to higher level institutes Ireland and the UK. This course has been designed for students who want to improve the score on their IELTS exam. This course includes IELTS exam tuition as well as an IELTS exam on completion of the course.

Course
The course consists of 20 hours of classes per week, where textbooks are supplied to students. Reading, writing, aural and oral exercises all form important elements of the course, which focuses on English for Academic Purposes, meaning students will be trained in listening and note-taking skills, as well as on how to prepare presentations and write assignments, for example.
2. Pre-Foundation English
The course is designed for students who will be studying the International Foundation Year here at DIFC but don't have the required IELTS level. This course has been designed to not only improve your English level but to also provide you with an introduction to business, maths and science.

The course comprises of 20 hours of taught lessons per week plus one hour of directed self-study available to students, which will be supervised by a tutor who will be able to give guidance and advice on aspects of independent learning.
3. General English
This course is designed for students who want to improve their overall level of English. Social and cultural activities are also organised for students. Our General English courses start at the beginning of each month.
